Racetech seats do not fit, different inner/outer diameters. Made of some kind tin can metal...so into the garbage can. Bad quality stuff...

The shock works great after some adjustments.

Together with S22 tires the bike has become very stable. Great for the Spain mountain roads.
First time I hit the tarmac with the pegs, without attention..

Ordered the front fork 2019 inner springs, inner tubes and 0-rings for 63 euro incl. shipping from the US. Taxes and other are 24 euro, total costs 87 euro.

The dealer price difference is unbelievable.. (EU x +/_4)

Hello Rexelstar! What adjustments you made to the shock? Did you modified the damping characteristics?

Regards,

Timur

The oil hose coupling did hit the frame, we had to slightly bend it carefully.
Next time needs a 90 degree coupling..

Further some adjustment of the compression and rebound knobs.
Spring tension set on position 1.

Now the rear is very stable, the front fork 2018 suspension feels more jumpy. Or is it me..

Next time in Spain we install the 2019 inner front fork parts. Hopefully it is the right decision.

When finished you are welcome for a test drive;)

A second opinion is always appreciated.

Yes - OEM fork it's not the best one. Hope that 2019 parts will improve the handling. IMO CB500X has a good chasis - a bit of suspension tweaking do a lot. It's funny to see >120HP bikes struggling to left behind this little 500 twin on twisty roads  :745:

After a lot of testing the rear shock is to harsh for me (85kg) so decided to replace with the Ohlins version.

The cbr600 f4 shock is now available for a reasonable offer. Shock has new oil, spring, seals etc. Set up as written/shown above.
