Palmer bracket and Givi screen
« on: April 23, 2019, 01:57:17 AM »
Givi screen gave terrible buffeting. Has anyone success with Palmer products adapter? With Givi or -15 OEM screen?

I have the palmer products screen and brackets.

It's far better than the standard setup but not perfect, I get more wind protection around helmet area but then compromise with more window flowing underneath the screen. This is dependant on the height/angle selected on the brackets and the fact the screen sits further away from the bike.

I'd say give them a go, link above makes for some good reading  :152:

Now givi+palmer is tried. Buffeting, not as bad than without but useless. Next testing with 2015 OEM screen.

I've found the Givi +10mm spacers + MRA x-creen "tour" size to be the best setup so far. Rode out a few hundred miles last weekend from highway to country roads to city. Very happy with it except for the fact that on dirt and cobblestone roads the whole setup bounces around like mad.  :008:

Keep us posted on your progress.

2015 OEM windshield with Palmer brackets is best so far. In upper position and turned back as much as possible. It creates noise but takes pressure from chest in higher speeds. Not good but will use this until get better ideas.
