Mechanics all say to run it in hard.
Racetracks are really good. Lots of throttle variation, lots of shifting.

curvy roads. I am coming up on my manual recommended 1000 k oil change.

I just rode 100k in wet graveland mud.

the last 7 k it was......well here

It's a Honda. it'll take it.

I ran it fairly gently for 300 miles then ran it up to 65 mph varying speeds frequently. As soon as I hit 600miles I changed the oil.
Ran up to 75 for another 400 miles. Then let the dealer do the first service. Had no oil leaks and the engine ran like a dream for the next 8000. I changed the oil every 4000 and the filter every 8000. Engine seems bullet proof. My only complaint is the paint finish isnt great on English salted winter roads.
