Christmas in June
« on: June 28, 2019, 10:25:13 PM »

Happiness in NC...  My Level 2 kit arrived today - wheels. Hopefully they will be arriving soon.

Waiting patiently for the fun to begin.

Congrats on the arrival of the RR goodies. That garage is impressively neat and clean! Mine hasn't looked that good since our house was built. :)

Happy wrenching! I just finished my L2 conversion. It's a great way to get to know the bike.

Congrats. You'll love the upgrades.

Where in NC are you? I was there, last year, as I rode across the US on my X. My Sis in Law lives on the banks of the Neuse across from MCAS Cherry Point.

Hi ThirtyOne, I saw your RR arrival picture a few weeks ago, I was jealous as mine sat on backorder..  :022:

Thanks UKJeeper, Ive got high hopes that this improved bike will be just what Im looking for.
Im a little east of Raleigh, about 100 miles from Cherry Point. Im guessing that your Sis in Law lives around the Minnesott Beach area? One of my favorite coffee shop runs is to a place in Oriental.
Did you ship your bike over here? Did you post about your ride?

"The Bean"?

Nice little taproom there too. "New Village Brewery".

She's a little up the Neuse from the ferry. Her road comes in to Arapahoe.

And the run report is here:

I stopped off at Cabella's in Auburn, as I lost my tent somewhere in Virginia and had to replace it! :D

I had ordered mine just before the million views sale they had, so I just got ahead of that rush. Even so, my wheels were delayed a few weeks. Well worth the wait. I leave in 5 days for a two week tour. Will be putting the new X through its paces.

The conversion is pretty straightforward. Just use Juans videos and youll be fine.

The Bean, yes indeed  :001: The coffee is good, not the best, but the view is killer.. And Oriental - what a nice little place.
Thanks for the blog link, I'll read that this weekend.

Thanks ThirtyOne, I have watched and rewatched the videos, Juan makes it seem pretty much doable.
Where's the tour? I'd be interested in what you think of the RR conversion on a multi-day trip. That's my plans for mine.
