2019 Accessories
« on: July 01, 2019, 10:58:42 PM »
I can't even find a section on Honda's website under accessories for the 2019.  I really want a plug and play 12v socket without having to play the wire splice game.  Also, I heard from Moto Werk that the foot peg lowerers for the 13-18 will NOT work on the 19 (with ABS at least) and they didn't even say they were working on some.  A lot of other accessories are still tagged as 2013-18.  Is the 19 just that new, ahead of the aftermarket game?  I've gotta do something with the seat (not comfortable for a big, tall guy), footpegs (too crotch rocket-ish), and I keep looking for the highway pegs as I'm rolling down the highway (used to having those on a KLR).  This isn't the final year for the 500x is it?  Maybe I'm just used to having a globe full of KLR accessories.

There are some 2019 specific accessories but they are difficult to find. They are on the Honda UK site somewhere so you could try there.

The 12v socket is about 120 and the heated grips are 450 so you might want to try aftermarket!!

Ive gone for a set of OEM heated grips for an earlier Honda for 85 - I had them on my old X and they looked and worked fine.

I just heard back from Moto Werk and they said the market is too small so they're not even bothering with the 2019.

Heres the part number for the 12 V accessory plug. I paid $26 for it from my local dealer. Plug and play. Uses a unused harness plug on the left side fairing. Took about half an hour to install it myself. That included me finding a video on how to remove the fairings.

Im in Northern CA.

Part #: 08U70-MKP-D80

Last time I spoke to American Honda I was told a release date of July 1-July 15
It's not a big motorcycle just a groovy little motorbike

Thanks for that. When I go in for the break in service I'll check on it.

Hello Antwon412,
Do you have the instruction manual for mounting this 12v socket. I'd like to watch it before, but can not find on the web? Then if you have a copy of this instruction manual , it would be great
Thanks so much
Patrick

Hi,
just crossreading here and its my first post.
Dont worry about original Honda parts. I would check AliExpress for this 12V socket.  The new Hondas having a ready socket to plug in already btw, on my bike it is under the fairing on the left hand side infront. Its for plugging heated handgrips or something like that in. I would wonder if there is no such plug on the new 2019model.  If not i am sure there are ppl here in the community telling you where to connect it best.
cheers ...btw, i order most parts i need for my bikes at above mentioned company, specially lamps and e-stuff or aftermarket handguards, never had problems
