About a week later, I picked up the two inch scrap to throw it away and decided to try something else. I made two brackets to offset it about an inch and a half ahead of the short  screen. Works even better than the cut screen.

I like that idea too...

I always thought (when people started to comment/complain about turbulence on the earlier bikes especially), that cutting the screen down like CB-500-X did, and then experimenting with one of the MRA style adjustable screen lip spoilers (Pugi make one too apparently) would help a lot of people dial in the screen angle/height to their liking.

photo. Juan went the other way, and fitted an MRA to his Honda Accessory tall screen!

I took a screen shot of the real deal and then edited it. Sent it to one of the online print companies. Under $10 I think. Its been a couple of years.

I'll see what I can do. I'm a hack at best.

The image that I started with really wasn't high enough resolution but I made my sticker pretty small. this should be ok if you don't try to make it more than four or five inches wide.

I love these Halfrica Twin logos.  I may also have to get a couple made.

Is it just me? Or does anyone else out there think the original Honda screen is ugly?
I have the 2018 model. I love the bike, but as time goes on I like the screen less and less.
The 2019 model screen looks even worse. It's the long 'face' with hollow 'eyes' that get me. The 2019 model even has a 'nose' on the face.

Having got that off my chest, I have to say that buffeting is not a problem for me, apart from when overtaking big trucks. So, I don't want to lower the screen by hacksaw surgery.

I was thinking of using a dark lens tint spray on the bottom half of the screen, say from the 'eyes' down. This might blend the screen into the body/faring and hopefully take the 'long face' look off the front of the bike.

Has anyone tried this?
Meanwhile, I am happily riding from behind the screen, so I can forget its ugly face most of the time.
Cheers.
