I like the reviews I've read on this tire, I think I'll be putting them on my bike next.  Having a hell of a time finding a 140/80B17 here in the U.S. though, checked the usual suspects - no dice, can't get them. Got an email to Dunlop, we'll see what they say.

I got a response (lack of response actually) from Dunlop. They told me that it was a demand issue and if distributors didn't have enough demand for the 140/80-17, it wasn't cost effective for them to order it.

I guess I'll keep looking and pestering vendors.

I find it odd that Dunlop would showcase these new tires on a CB500X and then not have the correct sizes available for the consumer.  The explanation they provided above makes no sense at all.

But isn’t the correct size for the CB500X rear tire a 160, not a 140/80 17?

I hear that may drop a with section or two  on the rear tyre when more off road use is intended.

Yes, for the stock wheels. Rally Raid recommends 140/80 17 for theirs.

It’s puzzling.  They demo-ed these tires on a 2019 CB500X.  And yet according to the article (linked in the first post to this thread), Dunlop doesn't offer oem sizes for the CB500X rear:

I wonder what size tire was used on the demo bike in the article?  That bike had the stock alloy rims.
