on: November 21, 2019, 03:52:06 PM
Has anyone mounted the Honda brand tank bag to their 2019 if so can you tell me about it-like how does it fit-look and the size and if more than one compartment-- I did read zoomnad's post on the subject and it was a good one just looking for a second opinion-- thanks :152:

Received my Honda some weks ago with the tank bag. I would not recommend Honda's original tank bag. It takes too long to mount with three clips. Size is maybe 3 litres. Size is ok for me but mounting everytime takes too long. I will probably buy the SW micro as it has a click system and mounting is fast. I use tank bag everytime I rise to hild mobile phone, keys, wallet, a tablet computer and other small items. The good thing with Honda's bag is that one clip only needs to be removed for fueling.

Some pics of Honda original tank bag. In one pic the mounting strap is shown. I think that strap will scratch the clear coat at some point since the bag is moving a little.

Mount of the bag is done with 3 plastic clips. One near the seat and two are under the handle bars almost. Not a fast or easy mounting compared to SW Motech system. I will probably change to that at some point.

After seeing your pictures I'm disappointed I think the Q tank bag 9 is a better fit and is held on by magnets not starps

I ordered SW Motech Pro Micro today. Let's see if that is easier to attach and use. I use mine tank bag on every ride. The Honda original tank bag's zipper started to get stuck and that was enough for me. Had to fix the extra fabric with superglue to avoid it getting stuck in the zipper.
