Not darn sarf (yet). Just your standard brown and shi**y. And the 45mph gusts from Storm Ciara is making the commute... interesting.

45 mph?!

I'm sure you haven't experienced a full potential of the Storm. Only a glimpse... try coast life.  :008:

My screen's black and clear tho...

You got MRA screen as well or the spoiler itself should work with any screen?
By work I don't mean if it will attach, but if it gives desirable effect.

So... what works for 2013-15 models?

The bike I got came with Ermax touring screen https://www.ermax.com/Honda/CB-500-X/touring_screen_CB_500_X_2013-2015.html?egap=article&ida=4717

I'm 5'8" and all I got from this ermax screen is bunch of noise and wind hitting straight into my eyes. I've tried moving it around and it didn't do much (funny that lower position seems a bit better). After reaching speed of 30mph my eyes are being blasted with super annoying stream of wind to a point where I have to drop the visor.

Can anyone not shorter than 5'8" reveal what's working on very first models?

I've been browsing through forums and basically what I found especially after reading through about 40-50 pages of windshield megathread that nothing really works and it's very individual...

Three things that seemed to have decent opinions were:

Besides there are also option of stock shield with spacers (don't have it so can't try it, but seems a cheapest option) as well as getting rid of screen at all - tried it and definitely prefer it over ermax which won't let me to listen to the engine.

Have anyone tried OEM tall screen and had success with it?

Could this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Honda-CB500X-2013-2016-Black-Aluminum-Adjustable-Windshield-Bracket-Kit-MO/293219738079
Work?

I had a Givi tall screen on my 2015, with some tap washers to space it out a bit. Worked for me.

That was yesterday. Sunday was much worse. But bike was safe in the garage then.  :008:

I have just the MRA X-Creen Sport spoiler on the originial screen.  Below are a couple of pics.  Notice it doesn't extend much beyond the height of the original screen, but set at vertical, it does the job.

That looks good but I think you've got it upside down  :155:

I must admit...it does look upside down to me also, that is upside down as the image on MRA website, unless its a personal choice to mount that way.The wider part of the screen shows on MRA website to be at the lower position.

It is, but I found it more effective this way, and it looks fine, at least I think so 🙂. Otherwise, it reproduced the screen's narrow top and that seemed to be part of the problem.

Apparently it did the trick.  :047:
Just to clarify is it standard or honda tall screen? Looks a bit tall to me... Might need some glasses as well. Actually that could solve the issue of wind blowing at my eyes.

Thank you all for your replies, I must admit original screen with spoiler looks interesting.

I'm thinking about puig with spoiler, quite tall and not that expensive.

If you CBX is a MY13 it will have a smaller screen than ewryly's. The taller screen was standard on the later model years 2016-2018. A second hand one could be brought off ebay :152:

Windscreen preference is very different for everyone due to your height, etc. But the bigger oem screen and spoiler is a good starting point.
