It's a simple equation -
road tyres + no crash bars = smooth ride!  :745:
The Story So Far.........
2017-2019: 12000mls recreational use - 89.73mpg UK; 74.72mpg US; 3.15litres/100km

It's one hell of a little bike.

I've done it; https://www.cb500x.com/index.php/topic,7358.0.html
As have several others, including Jenny Morgan. More than a few people have ridden RTW on theirs too.

Wouldn't call the X 'delicate' though. Nearly 50,000 miles on and off road in less than two years, and I've yet to break or wear anything out (touch wood).

I was talking about steering - how does "light steering" grab you ?

50k in two years, that's serious miles.

Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement folks! I do keep an eye on the tire pressure, but I'll be paying a little more attention to it.

UKJeep, dang nice blog account. I haven't gotten through it all yet, but I intend to. You did a lot more gravel and such than I will, but it's exactly that kind of adventure and blog that got me to do the Trans Am (bicycle, rt.76) in '08. Oddly, the fella that lit my imagination on that ride was from the UK, too. Looking to re-live that experience (northern and southern tiers this time) on the CB. Thanks for posting, everyone!
Greetings from the land of Pleasant Living!
