Tyre recommendation
« on: February 05, 2020, 01:24:21 PM »
Just picked up my cb500x and thinking ahead to some tyres to go on spoked wheels. I think my situation is a bit different to most discussions I've read. I'll realistically be 95% on the road, mostly wet roads around here. However, any time I'll be off road it'll be wet grass, mud and shallow river beds. Should I just get tkc80s?

For mud, wet grass and that stuff you need nobby tyres, doensnt matter if it is 1 or 10% of your riding :) Without nobby tyres you will get stuck instantly in mud and that stuff.

A lot of guys on here like Avon Trailriders - good grip on road, great mileage but still 'knobbly' adventure tyres...... I'm a road tyre guy, so that's just a suggestion!!   :008:

Just got'em, can't tell much yet. They feel nice for sure, got mostly great reviews.
I'll find out in a couple of weeks riding down Region de los Lagos and Chiloe island, Chile.

Those look like TKC70s - 90% road tyres...
