I don't dislike the red :)

Few questions

What are the tyre pressures ?
I read somewhere that the MPG is set for US Gallons. Is that true?
And what's this blank in the center for?

Thanks

The blank in the centre is for the optional fog light switch - I think.

Tyre pressures are either what it says in the book or on the swinging arm. (Or about 30 front and 36 rear if you dont want to feel every rough bit of road!)

Red is the best colour!

New dash is ok but could be slightly bigger and brighter and I preferred the rev counter on the old one. The gear position indicator is the best new feature!!

Nice purchase, I think I saw it for sale somewhere.

Barkbusters are good, you want the BHG-074 kit. Unfortunately they hit the screen when it's in the high position but loads of clearance in the low.

Roll on spring!

Thanks Steve  :062:

It was in the facebook CB500X Riders UK 🇬🇧
The gear position indicator is brilliant. I'm loving that.

Bike is all wrapped up and away from the wind and rain today  :190:

My to do list is getting longer

Barkbusters
Exhaust can
Rad guard
Bash plate
Scottoiler
A rack
A light bar and lights
Powder coat wheels in gold
And a variety of assorted guff

Need to find a money tree  :115:

Tyre pressures are on the swing arm:- 2 bar front, 2.8 bar rear (be it loaded or just the rider)

From my study of the manual (yeah I know, boring old fart reads the owners manual) the read out can be changed to kmh from mph and this changes all other features that cover the fuel systems perfomance. If they are US mpg figures I'll find out soon enough once I've run a few tankfulls through the bike.

The dash brightness can also be altered according to the book, but I've yet to try it as the batteries is out and I'm now busy waxoyling and ACF50ing every nut and bolt I can get too  :005:

Next is fitting the Motech racks I've acquired along with several bits of plastic crud protective kit.

My pal has just fitted what looks like the same switch to his 2017 Africa Twin ..it comes with a cable which he cut off and used his own connectors as he was using his own lights.
It could be the same on and if you look on Rugged Roads website there is an exploded image...its just short of 20GBP ...
It is a very specific fitting with two self tapping like screws that screw into a moulding behind the dash...oh,its two wire and it is a fog light switch.
So if anyone here knows what the CB500X looks like or part no it would be helpful....I could not find it on Fowlers parts website.
