Cardo Packtalk Bold Duo
« on: March 02, 2020, 04:09:20 AM »
Looking for helmet to helmet communication for me and my wife.  This system has very good reviews and can be found on Amazon for $379.50.

However Google shopping returned this link.  Same system for $89.50?

This has to be a scam, right?

If it's too good to be true, it's usually not.  That said, brands like Sena and Cardo are made in China.  I've had Cardo before and wasn't happy with reception, sound and battery life.  Sena was better but still over priced.  The bluetooth intercoms on Ali Express or Amazon work well enough.  Lots of selection and you can get a pair for under $75 USD.  The only reason to buy Sena is if you have a helmet specific bluetooth intercom system (i.e. Schuberth C4 or M1 Pro).

Also had Cardo and they are all overpriced...
Now,me and a few others use Fodsports M1 and found them to be great value for money
I have them on both my helmets and only pared with phone and two others yet but cant fault them so far..since last year...and they come with full face mikes and open/flip helmet mikes and less than
100gbp for two, spares availableand vox works as it should and such an easy fit.
Cannot see any reason so far why I would change at all..I even bought a spare unit but never had to use it..I will charge it and keep it onboard should the battery run out...only ever done four hours in one stint but it was still working fine.
I cannot see for the life of me why the Senna and Cardo units cost so much...at all.
Maybe if there were many more in a group but I think these do at least four.
